Which do you love more, AR or VR?

I know you may be thinking “what on earth are you talking about?” so let me break it down for you…

Virtual Reality – VR – uses technology to create a simulated environment. It places the user inside an experience where they are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds.

Augmented Reality – AR – is the blending of virtual reality and real life! With AR, users are able to interact with virtual contents in the real world and are able to distinguish between the two.

With that in mind, APPLE CEO Tim Cook was asked for his take on future trends like AR and he left no doubt that he sees the technology as the next major trend ahead of VR.

He explained how VR closes people out from the world which may cause behavioural issues in the future…

Who would have even thought of that?

Don’t get me wrong, I love VR, but Augmented Reality allows individuals to be present in the world and shows an improvement on what is actually going on.

Like Pokemon Go for instance.

Last year, we saw people go mad for it but why do you think that is?

“Most people don’t want to lock themselves out from the world for a long period of time and today you can’t do that because you get sick from it. With AR you can, not be engrossed in something, but have it be a part of your world, of your conversation. That has resonance” Cook said.

He then went on to say he believes AR has the same potential as the smartphone did.

I’d love to know your thoughts!
