Have you ever thought about using a different sort of Smartphone? Most people go with the majority and opt for an iPhone or Samsung, but have you ever considered a Rugged CAT Smartphone?
Depending on your profession and how careful you are with your phone, one of these handsets may just be right up your street.
CAT have come up with a range of Smartphones that are durable, made of high quality and built to survive the challenges presented by tough environments.
Whether you’re mucking out on the farm, trying to overcome the commotion of a construction site, or you simply lead a lifestyle that needs something a little more durable CAT refuse to believe that being rugged means making a compromise. Their phones combine high-end Android technology and commitment to innovation with tough military standard credentials – so even in difficult situations you know CAT phones are on your side.
The newest in their range, released last year is the CAT S60.
Rugged Smartphone with Thermal Imaging Camera
The S60 is reinforced with a die-cast frame and is the world’s first smartphone featuring thermal imaging camera. This technology by FLIR has many applications for work and around the home such as finding gaps in insulation, electrical faults, and monitoring the performance of machinery. It can also be used to check gas cylinder levels for barbecue tanks or to explore the outdoors at night. The thermal image camera can be used to take photos videos and time lapse footage. Like the rest of the CAT S series of phones, the S60 is rugged and waterproof and can withstand drops up to 1.8 meters. In terms of water-resistance, this phone has a lockdown switch that allows the phone to survive underwater up to a depth of 5 meters for 60 minutes. It is also designed to take photos and videos underwater and can even be used with gloves or wet fingers!
